After a nice, long, relaxing, holiday hiatus, I have finally returned! I’m refreshed and ready to start this year off strong!
I really enjoyed my last post that consisted of pictures of all the events I had been up to and things that I was currently enjoying; so I decided to keep to that method in this post. Since I have been gone for a while, I thought that this would be a good way to show what exactly I had been doing while I was MIA. =)
Upper Right – This year for Christmas shopping, we decided that we were going to get it all done in one go; meaning one day dedicated entirely to shopping for gifts and getting everyone on our list. This was a snapchat of the resulting haul. Stores we hit: Macys, Nordstrom, Fry’s, Bath & Body Works, Williams & Sonoma, Target, OSU Store, Costco, Game Stop and Sephora.
Lower Right – Here is the final product of all our shopping! Everyone on our list’s gifts all prettied up and ready to go. I was pretty impressed with myself. =)
Lower Left – These are the new Sigma brushes I picked up last month. I had a makeup gig coming up and needed more eye brushes for the job. With all the sales going on, it was the perfect time to make my purchase. They have made wonderful additions to my collection.
Upper Left – This was my makeup for my husband’s work holiday party this year. Please excuse the dirty mirror…-___-;; I’m wearing Urban Decay on my eyes and Chanel on my lips.
Every year for Christmas, our group of friends get together for a “Framily” dinner party. The above are some pictures that I took from that night of craziness. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize until the next day that I hadn’t gotten a picture with everyone. =( Hopefully I do better next year.
Over my break, I also celebrated my birthday! To commemorate the event, we took a trip to Seattle! Here are just a few of my favorites from the weekend. I also got the chance to play with my new camera lens that I got for Christmas!
So that about sums up what I have been up to this past month. Enjoying my time with friends and family, shopping and recollecting myself to figure out how I will be attacking the new year. Not going to lie, 2014 was not the best year for my family or myself; but we are all determined to make 2015 ours! This break was a good time for me to do some re-evaluating and strategizing. It has left me feeling very empowered and excited to start the new year! I always see people posting things like, “New year, new me,” but I think it should be more like, “New year, and BETTER me.” That’s what I will be striving for this year at least. =)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and amazing new years. Here’s to 2015!
